Sarah played in a tournament yesterday - Lots of games 5 or 6 we lost track. After a rough start the team finished up strong and made it to the Championship game.
The lead went back and forth but we were down by 3 going into the bottom of the last inning. Our first batter walked and the next batter got a double. With runners at 2nd and 3d the next two batters got out. Representing the tying run, Sarah came up to bat. On a passed ball, the runner at third scored and the runner at 2nd advanced. Sarah was very patient at the plate and drew a walk. The next girl representing the go-ahead run came up to bat. She waited for the right pitch and smashed the ball over the center fielder's head! Everyone on our side was screaming for the girls to run, run RUN! Everyone made it in safe at home and the team won the Championship.
Congratulations to Sarah and the team, they did a great job.
