Dana's Family

Congratulations to Christin on her graduation from Sandra Day O'Connor (SDO) High School yesterday and the Sundome in Sun City West. Christin was glowing in her blue robe with four silver braids (each for a semester of straight As) and three blue braids (for honor achievements during her years in high school). We were very happy for Chistin's wonderful achievement as a top student at SDO, and in addition, on her decision to attend ASU West where she was awarded a full scholarship. We and are so proud of her as our "numero uno" grandchild! Congratulations to Alex on his big lift! Alex has achieved a great deal in his sophomore year at SDC High School. In addition to his success as defensive end during the football season (he played a lot of football for a sophomore), Alex has been doing some serious growing and strength training. Alex is now only about an inch shorter than Dana and weights in over 200 lbs. In his recent strength test Alex bench-pressed 300 pounds. In two more lifting tests, a squat lift and a floor lift, Alex's total, including the bench press was 920 pounds. That's spectacular! By the way, Grandma and I have some furniture that we want to move out of the basement Alex. Sarah Noel is going to BYU to attend softball training. We have been watching Sarah's natural ability and growing success in softball for several years. She has achieved a reputation among her coaches and peers as an agressive player and leader. Now, to add to her success and development, Sarah will go to BYU for advanced training in softball this Summer. Good luck to Sarah, we are excited for her and know she will do well!
