This week we have the unusual treat to have Melinda's family in town. Dana invited us over to his house for a fun family night and dinner. It was great to spend some time together and the cousins had a great time playing around and having fun. Mom/Grammy brought a small "parachute" that the kids had a fun time play with. Christin also brought over her new puppy "Penguin" that everyone, including Madison (who has a dog phobia), fell in love with. We had a great dinner with the traditional bread bowl soups and yummy desserts.
Dana then gave a really nice lesson that started out with a fun word puzzle and ended with his testimony about the power of fasting and prayer, how it truly helped him in his recent trial with his job situation, and how Heavenly Father is aware of us and loves ua. Alex also spoke about his upcoming mission to Atlanta. It was great to hear from him. The Spirit was strong and it was a great time all around. Finally, to finish the evening with a bang, Ryan presented "Indian Jones and the Lost Pizza", a video that he and his friends made. Dana did a great job with the editing and it brought down the house. If we can get it on Youtube, I'm sure it will be the next big video sensation! Here are some pictures of the festivities.Tuesday, December 30, 2008

We had a great time. We're grateful that Dana's family hosted the evening. Beatrice had a great time playing with doors and trying to sneak outside. Melanie always has such a fun time playing with her cousins. We feel so blessed that even though most of the cousins are older, they play so nicely with our girls. I know bonds between cousins are some of the most special friendships a kid can have!
Love, Emily
