A Holiday for Rememberance

It's important for us to remember and be thankful for what we have here in the US. We have so much materially and spiritually. The freedom to do as we please is unknown in many parts of the world. In many other places freedoms are restricted. 90 percent of the world would do almost anything to have the opportunitie we have, but which we scarcely even think about. What we have has cost much. Men and women throughout our country's history have sacrificed much, fought and died to keep what we have. This nation is special in so many ways. So with our fun times today, let's each of us pause, or pause with our families and give thanks for all we have received. Prophets today and in Book of Mormon times continue to tell us: "inasmuch as you keep the commandments of God (and your covenants) you will prosper in the land". This has been the continuing blessing of all of our family members. May we always remember and be thankful for what we have received. Have a great Independence Day, everyone of you!
